Nintendo Wii or Sony Playstation 3

You're a drooling devotee of gaming consoles. You obviously know the two hottest consoles in existence, right? Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3. Each is extremely popular, the Wii is made by Nintendo, duh, and the PS3 is produced by the Sony Corporation.

The PS3 and the Wii offer gamers state of the art sounds and graphics. Indeed, many would argue that difference between them is slim.

Lets start the comparison with Nintendo Wii. A basic set-up costs about $250. A small, sleek modern case. A wireless remote, called the Wii-mote, the main controller to game play is provided.
A motion sensing system tracks movements of the players during game play. It is this element that makes the Nintendo wii a revolution in gaming consoles. The ability to play most all previous Nintendo console games & a special on-line service with exclusive games and entertainment features makes Wii an fantastic value.

Now the PlayStation, the console is an out of date black hulking box that will cost upwards of $500 . Equipped with a hard drive, optical drive (Blu-ray), wireless controllers (Bluetooth), high-definition video and wireless Wi-Fi networking port. PS3 has a memory card that can read SD cards and Compact Flash. Undeniably, the Play Station out-powers the Wii.
Graphics are usually better as-well. Just add a monitor, mouse and keyboard, and the PS3 becomes your PC.

When comparing the different features of Nintendo Wii and the Sony PlayStation 3, the PS3 has the most features for sure, especially for hard-core gamers. However, Wii has achieved higher sales. In fact, the combined sales of the PS3 and another competitor, the Microsoft Xbox 360, do not even come close to the sales volume of Nintendo Wii. Despite PS3's better graphics and overall media, Wii remains the top seller among all game consoles. Perhaps it’s because of its limited supply on the market. However, since PS3 is more expensive, a lot of gamers prefer to get a Wii bundle package which is less costly, and includes much much more. I’m sure the revolutionary motion sensing technology of the Wii has a lot to do with it as well.

These are just some of the differences between the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 3, but they are important ones. You must now make a decision.  Choose wisely and make sure that you choose the one that you can afford and one that you will enjoy playing without feeling like you made a mistake.
